Abstract
Some historical perspective on Haiti from Noam Chomsky, present in Haiti in 1993 (a period he describes as "the terror", after Aristide was overthrown by Guy Philippe & Louis Jodel Chamblin, whom both Bhatt & Chomsky agree were funded by the US.
Conducted shortly after the earthquake, the interview does focus on relief efforts, which Chomsky characterizes as overly militaristic, before turning to history.
